One Boy, ONEOK Field. Plus, DrillersFest This Saturday.
Have you seen what's been going on at North Elgin and Archer?
Yeah. There's a huge, beautiful, brand-spankin' new, $60 million ballpark there now.
Kiddo and I checked it out today. Just to, you know, check the acoustics and such.
We want to make sure this ballpark is up to snuff, after all, don't we?
Between my son and I, we're always good for an acoustics check.
Look at that view from third base. So choice.
I want this dude's job.
I think.
You can come downtown to see the new ballpark yourself, you know. For free, even.
Your opportunity is this Saturday. The Drillers are hosting an open house, DrillersFest, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the ballpark. You'll have the opportunity to snag some tickets to upcoming games, some sweet Drillers gear and a first taste of what will be available at the the new concession stands.
Yum, yum.
Opening night is coming up on April 8, following by a Friday Fireworks game the very next night. Picking up some tickets to both of those games while you're at DrillersFest on Saturday would be wise. My guess is that they'll be tough to come by at around this time next week.
Because ONEOK Field in Tulsa's historic Greenwood District is about to become the new place to see and be seen in Tulsa, Oklahoma this summer.

Ahh, can't wait to see this next week. That view is AMAZING!
In your last picture, the 2nd building from the right is the new Fat Guy's Burger Bar that is set to open any day now.
This new stadium looks awesome! Tulsafoodtoddler has been talking about "b-ball" for the past month. We're there if we have time after the Easter Egg hunt.
Mmm, Fat Guy's Burger Bar. Can't wait for that place.
Tulsa Food Guy, which Easter Egg hunt are you going to?
Just going to the hunt at our church, Immanuel Lutheran in BA. It's at 11, so hopefully we'll have time to get over to OneOK before naptime (mine and TFT's!). Can't wait till Springfield comes to town. Go Redbirds! :D
