It's an election day here in Tulsa, Oklahoma, folks, and there's no better way to relax after using your lunch hour to stand in a voter's box than to throw a few down the hatch at a local election watch party.
As with mayoral candidates, Tulsa, you have several parties from which to choose. Behold:
Adelson for Mayor Primary Watch Party
Where: El Guapo's Mexican Cantina, 332 E. First St.
When the polls close, it's time to hit El Guapo's with Democrat mayoral candidate Mark Adelson. Bonus: It's Taco Tuesday. Get traditional-style carnitas tacos for $1 each. Woot!
Grizzle for City Council Election Watch Party
Where: Renaissance Hotel, Ste. 427
Watch the returns prom-party style at the Renaissance Hotel with District 8 Councilor candidate Scott Grizzle. Bring snacks.
Watch Party for Mark Perkins
Where: Leon's On the Restless Ribbon, 33rd and Peoria
Grab some buds and meet at Leon's to watch election returns and talk Tulsa with Independent mayoral candidate Mark Perkins. Proceeds from the sale of the Mark Perkins for Mayor specialty pizza (!) and Tulsa's own beer from Marshall Brewing Company will be donated to the Perkins cause.
