We'll Keep Drinking Until We Get It Right

Picture this: An unfamiliar place, grungy with urban decay. A room crowded with people, crushes of thirsty reporters and PR people lurking in every corner. The clanging of bar glasses and more brew than you could shake a stick at.

Also, a sea of beer-themed t-shirts. Hey, don't threaten me with a good time.

There's still time to get your tickets to the fifth edition of one heckuva beer tasting event, going on right here in Tulsa this Friday (Nov. 6) night, not at the traditional First Draft location, but instead at Blue Dome Diner on Second Street.

Come for the beer, stay for the food, the wine (yes, wine - homemade, even), the people and the celebrity-judged t-shirt contest. All proceeds benefit the Tulsa Press Club Foundation, which grants scholarships to journalism students, the poor souls.

It's okay, though, you bright, eager, young journalism students. As long as beer is still part of working in journalism, it's okay. If the folks at Tulsa Press Club have anything to say about it, the beer ain't goin' no where.

Get your tickets at Tulsa Press Club, 415 S. Boston, or call 583.7787 to save your spot. As always, drink responsibly. Also as always, have fun and make merry.
